Materials
Fries
- 540 g russet potatoes (~3 potatoes)
- 2 tbsp oil
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 1/4 tsp cayenne
- 1/8 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp mango powder garam masala, cumin powder
- 1/2 tsp garam masala
- 1/2 tsp cumin powder
- Salt to taste
Roasted Cumin Aioli
- 3/4 tsp cumin seeds
- 1/3 c veganaise
- 1/2 lime
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
Fries
- Peel and chop your potatoes into medium sized fries. Coat them evenly in your oil and spices, and pop into the air fryer at 400 degrees for about 20 minutes.
- Make sure to split this into two batches and flip each batch half way through each batch.
Roasted Cumin Aioli
- On low heat, dry roast your cumin seeds until fragrant. (Around a minute or so – make sure not to over-roast or burn).
- With a mortar and pestle, grind the cumin seeds into a fine powder.
- Combine roasted cumin powder with your veganaise, freshly squeezed lime juice, and a pinch of salt.
- I use the juice from about half a lime for this recipe but feel free to adjust!
