This dalgona coffee recipe makes a fluffy, cloud-like whipped topping using instant coffee, sugar, and hot water. Creamy, airy, and ready in 5 minutes.
1 hand mixer or use a stand mixer, or whip my hand using a whisk
Ingredients
3tbsp Nescafe Instant Coffee
3tbsp Raw Sugar
3 tbsp Hot Water
Instructions
Combine ingredients: Add instant coffee, sugar, and hot water to a medium mixing bowl.
Whip the mixture: Use a hand mixer (or whisk if you're feeling ambitious) and whip until the mixture turns from dark brown to a pale beige color. It should thicken significantly and form soft, glossy peaks.
Continue whipping: Whip an additional 2–3 minutes beyond the stiff-peaks stage for a truly luxurious, fluffy texture.
Serve: Spoon the whipped coffee over a glass of cold or hot milk and enjoy immediately.
Notes
It's Strong. It may look bright, dreamy, and airy but this remember this coffee recipe is strong! Add less at first and blend with your milk, then add more as needed. Instant Coffee is a Must. Use any brand of instant coffee you like, but make sure it’s true instant coffee—brewed coffee or espresso will not whip. If your mixture isn’t getting fluffy, keep whipping; dalgona takes longer than most people expect, especially without a hand mixer. For a lighter foam, add 1–2 teaspoons more hot water.Variations: Add 1 teaspoon cocoa powder for a mocha version, use brown sugar for deeper caramel notes, or whisk in a drop of vanilla or cinnamon to your milk for added warmth and flavor.
