Polar Express Hot Chocolate
If you've watched the Polar Express and wondered what the hot chocolate from the movie tasted like, you're in luck! Here's how to recreate it at home.
Ingredients
Hot Chocolate
- 1.5 c Soy Vanilla Milk (or your milk of choice!)
- 125 g Milk Chocolate Bar
- 2 tbsp Dark Chocolate Hershey's Cocoa Powder
- Torani French Vanilla Syrup (to taste)
Whipped Cream
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 3 tbsp white granulated sugar (or 3 tbsp of vanilla syrup)
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Chop up your chocolate bar or grate it into fine prices. This will help it melt a lot easier when you heat your mixture over the stove.
- In a heavy bottom pan, add in all of your ingredients – milk, chocolate bar, cocoa powder, and vanilla syrup – and mix continuously until everything is melted and well combined.
- Heat the mixture until it starts to bubble and then remove it from the heat.
- To make the whipped cream, add your heavy whipping cream, sugar, and vanilla extract to a large mixing bowl (or use vanilla syrup instead of sugar and vanilla extract).
- Mix with a hand blender for about 5 minutes until the whipped cream turns light and fluffy. If you keep blending for an additional few minutes, you will get a very rich and thick whipped cream! So adjust to your preferred consistency.
