Apple Pie Roll Ups
A quick and easy dessert for apple pie lovers with none of the complicated baking!
Materials
Rolls
- White Bread
- Canola Oil
- 1/2 c Raw Sugar
- 1/2 tbsp Cinnamon Powder
Apple Pie Filling
- 2 Honey Crisp Apples (1.5 c chopped)
- 1.5 tbsp Earth Balance Butter
- 1/3 c Brown Sugar
- 1/4 tsp Cinnamon Powder
- 1-2 tsp Fresh Lemon Juice
- 2 tsp Corn Starch
- 1/2 c Water
Instructions
Apple Pie Filling
- Add butter to a sauce pan and let it melt. Then add in apples, lemon juice, water brown sugar, corn starch, and cinnamon to the pan and let the mixture simmer until the apples soften. This takes about 6-10 minute son a low to medium heat.
Rolls
- Cut the crusts off of some plain white bread and roll it out with a rolling pin (or just flatten with a heavy pan!)
- add the apple pie filling in the center of the bread and roll it up into a cigar shape.
Assembly
- Set up two bowls – one with canola oil and one with your cinnamon and sugar (make sure it's evenly combined).
- Lightly dip the rolls in the canola oil first and then in the cinnamon sugar topping, making sure it's evenly coated.
- Put your rolls in the oven at 350 degrees for 15-17 minutes. You can also airfry at 400 for 5 minutes if you're making a smaller quantity (only 2-4 rolls).
